We have the capability to engineer tools up to 2.5 tonnes in the UK and up to 5 tonnes in Malaysia using state-of-the-art equipment. All tool trials are carried out in-house using any one of our 22 injection moulding machines (22-530 tonnes, Engel, Netstal, Boy and Battenfeld). Two colour moulds can also be engineered and trialled in-house and we are one of only a few UK injection moulders to offer a two shot service. We offer an independent sub-contract toolmaking service with tool trialling facilities up to 450 tonnes, with full CAD/CAM design and manufacture. We can take information as IGES, VDA, SAT and DXF. All systems are networked with a DNC link to our state of the art CNC machining centres and milling machines. Our EDM machines incorporate the latest CNC controllers and tool changers, giving us the option for ‘lights out’ manufacture. All stages of tool production are carefully monitored to ensure deliveries are achieved. Tooling production plans and ISIR service can be provided.

Our well equipped toolroom produces precision mould tools, designed specifically to meet customer needs from prototype and low volume aluminium moulds up to high volume multi-cavity hot runner tools from 5kg to 2000kg.

PP has gained a reputation for precision toolmaking and moulding manufacture. Early participation in projects and partnerships with customers ensures a first class product delivered on time.

P.P.’s moulding division has gained a reputation for it’s ability to work in an innovative way with traditionally demanding engineering polymers and specialist high temperature materials where tight tolerances are required.

P.P. are ISO 9002 approved and have developed their own shop floor monitoring system to ensure consistent quality of mouldings. The effectiveness of the system is demonstrated by the fact that they are graded as an “A” class or equivalent supplier by all of their major customers.
