Bringing it Back to Britain Roadshow

The first GTMA Bringing it Back to Britain Roadshow was hailed as a success by both delegates and exbitors yesterday (11 May 2011). Many of the delegates confirmed their desire to source engineering products and services within the UK as they felt it offered more control, enhanced lead times and a “True Costs” facility.

Delegate numbers exceeded expectation at 124 visitors and exhibitors reported a strong level of enquiries with new contacts made in key sectors.

Guest Speakers

Ian Harnett – Director of Purchasing, Jaguar Land Rover, provided interesting insights into the future of fuelling systems, environmental needs and the changing face of supply chains within the Automotive Sector.

Tony Parraman – Bloodhound SCC, Head of Sponsor Liaison, spoke on the complex combination of power that is employed within this 1000mph supersonic vehicle and their forthcoming attempt at the World Land Speed Record.
