- delivering supply chain competence

GTMA has strong links with the UK aerospace industry and is frequently approached by major OEM and Tier 1 organisations looking for suppliers.

It was because of this demand that we set up the GTMA Aerospace Network in 2005 to develop programmes to ensure our members achieve Supply Chain competence.
Today, there are more than 95 GTMA member companies in the Network and very productive relationships have been developed with aerospace companies including Airbus, Boeing and Rolls Royce.
We have also forged a strategic alliance with the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium, in which GTMA’s production engineering experience is complementing FAC’s ambitions to support world class supply chains.
Our focus is led by Business Development Director for Aerospace/Composites Roger Onions, whose current activities include speaking with aerospace manufacturers about the development of simulation software arising from a EU-funded R&D project called Flexform.
GTMA was a lead organisation in the Flexform research and the software allows milling machines to perform the Incremental Sheetmetal Forming process, which has particular relevance to the aerospace industry, among others.
