Introduction
ND Precision Products, an injection mould toolmaker based in Devon, UK, has seen growing interest in their latest investments and 
new services being offered to new and existing customers.
The recent purchase of laser welding equipment (Alpha Laser ALW Vario 150) has attracted companies looking to repair tooling rather than replace. Modification lead times have also been greatly reduced for ‘metal on’ scenarios.
“The large working area of this machine allows us to cater for a wide range of industry sectors,” explains MD Nick Squire.
The use of laser technologies has also become the favoured marking method at ND Precision. A Rofin Visual Laser Marker has been integrated into operations as a means of tool and parts identification. The clean, fast and permanent marking system has increased quality control during multi tool manufacture with capabilities for marking a wide range of metals and plastics.
November 2012 marked the first anniversary of the technical support office based in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire. From this central office, their engineer supports all existing customers with production problems, tool repairs and modifications.
As the management team at ND Precision Products continue to focus on delivering high quality tooling, their support engineer takes care of new enquiries and manages projects from design to delivery.
