RUD Chains Ltd based in Whitstable Kent, is a subsidiary of Rieger & Dietz GmbH located in Aalen Germany. RUD is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of chain systems and components. For over 140 years the RUD group has been producing top quality chains and applications in accordance with our group wide slogan “Tradition in Dynamic Innovation”.

Our extensive range of lifting and lashing applications include both welded and threaded types, covering a working load capacity range from 0.6 to 200 tonne. RUD offer over 270 different tested and certified lifting/lashing points, 210 of which are for bolting and 60 for welding.
Components can be ordered to specifically meet your requirements as well as our standard product ranges. Our impressive range of sling and lashing applications guarantee ultimate safety when lifting and moving heavy loads, a necessity in such volatile working environments.
RUD’s ICE Grade 12 is a revolutionary development in lifting. The Grade 120 ICE Lifting and lashing applications offer increased benefits of a considerable weight reduction in comparison to existing Chains Systems on the Market. Our RFID technology enables you to track, identify, inspect and trace all your equipment replacing the old time consuming methods. RUD are one of the first manufacturers to embed RFID chips into our products.
Through our RFID technology, chain slings and the components can now be effortlessly and quickly identified without errors, and the Product Identification Number can be easily registered and managed like never before. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) continues to evolve as a major technology –reforming the way documentation and inventory management is done. Inspection and documentation of goods has never been easier.
