The UK’s largest annual gathering of OEMs and supply chain professionals, the Advanced Engineering exhibition, is celebrating its 10th edition this
year at the NEC, Birmingham (Oct 31-Nov 1).
Hosting multiple co-locating shows under one roof, Advanced Engineering once again introduces parallel and related manufacturing sectors to new business and technology opportunities.
As in previous years, GTMA has a strong presence at the show. There are over 20 GTMA suppliers exhibiting in their own right and the overall engineering resource of the full membership will be represented on GTMA's Stand A12.
The event is a shop window of the latest technologies and solutions across these seven co-located show zones:
• Aero Engineering
• Automotive Engineering
• Composites Engineering
• Connected Manufacturing
• Performance Metals Engineering
• Nuclear Engineering
• UK Contract Manufacturing
New this year is UK Contract Manufacturing, to showcase UK sub-contractors, and Nuclear Engineering, which is officially sup- ported by the National Skills Academy (Nuclear Manufacturing) and where the 64,000 now employed is forecast to double in the next ten years.
Alison Willis, Industrial Division Director at show organisers, Easyfairs, said of the UK Contract Manufacturing zone: “Britain's small engineering companies are the back- bone of the country's manufacturing capa-

bility – a capability which is renowned around the world for its technical expertise and fantastic customer service.”
Advanced Engineering brings together over 700 firms, as well as more than 15,000 engi- neers, procurement managers and senior decision makers from large and small com- panies – all looking to source the most up- to-date products and explore the latest industry innovations.
As well as the exhibition itself there is a full conference schedule which attracts speakers with a range of engineering expertise.
Advanced Engineering co-hosts these seven shows under one roof, which again introduce parallel and related manufacturing sectors to new
business and technology opportunities:
Aero Engineering is the UK’s only event 100% dedicated to aero R&D, design, test, inspection, production & assembly.
Addressing structures, propulsion and sys- tems, it brings together global OEMs and top tier manufacturers to source from all levels of the engineering supply chain. Supported by ADS, NATEP, and all regional associations, Aero Engineering additionally brings some of the latest innovations and case studies to the show floor.
Covering manufacturing, R&D, materials and new and advanced technologies the zone presents the ultimate opportunity for the industry to gather and work together on fur- ther improving processes, innovation and supply chain competitiveness.
Automotive Engineering continues its growth as the UK’s dedicated event for manufactur- ers and the automotive industry supply chain, covering all areas of the industry, from R&D, through design, test, and production.
On show will be volume and specialist industry ‘tier’ parts, components and sub- systems suppliers covering areas including engine and transmission, auto exterior, auto interior, body / chassis, brake / steering / suspension, electronics, electrical & multi area components / parts engineering con- sumables.
Also there will be low carbon vehicle tech- nology, components and storage suppliers as well as automotive technology providers.
