GTMA is a UK-based trade association representing leading companies in precision engineering, rapid product development, toolmaking, tooling technologies, metrology and other critical manufacturing-related products and services.

We have a committed strategy to focus on major market sector opportunities, from Aerospace and Automotive to Medical, Rail and Energy but to name a few. Our work with OEMs and Tier 1s is now seen as a valuable resource for buyers building manufacturing supply chains. A few of our Initiatives are outlined below:

Reshoring UK

Reshoring UK is a unique collaboration of leading industrial engineering associations to assist manufacturers connect with trusted, accredited suppliers capable of delivering products and services that match their requirements.

This structured approach will support OEMs and Tier 1 companies who need to fill the gaps in their supply chains or to support the creation of new ones. This facility will support the high value and technical requirements of such industries as aerospace, automotive, rail, marine, energy and medical from conceptual design to complete product delivery for companies searching for UK-based support for their businesses…

The Manufacturing Resource Centre is committed to promoting excellence in the UK engineering Supply Chain. One of its key roles is developing opportunities for the UK engineering Buyer and Supplier to work together.

Engagement with Manufacturing OEMs and top tier companies

Many larger companies struggle to identify new supply chain partners and lack a mechanism to engage effectively. GTMA have successfully partnered with key OEMs in the UK to provide support as a free to use service. We have a process in place to preserve confidentiality and facilitate top level discussions with GTMA members as potential supply chain partners. Our members and the OEMs have benefitted from this value-added process.

We engaged the GTMA to reach out to their manufacturing supply chain membership for support. The GTMA team took us through a structured process and very quickly identified member companies based on capability and capacity to deliver support for our projects. The process allowed us to retain control of the engagement and took us through to one-to-one meetings with the shortlisted companies. We have been delighted with the effectiveness and efficiency of this collaboration and will seek further opportunities to work with the GTMA and its membership.
