 BLUM-NOVOTEST
SAVE TIME WITH NEW LASER SYSTEM
BREAKTHROUGH REDUCES MEASUREMENT TIMES BY 60%
A groundbreaking laser measuring sys- tem will be on display at the Advanced Engineering Show and is promising to reduce the time taken to measure cutting tools by 60%.
Blum-Novotest, which has 95% of the glob- al machine tool market for this technology, will provide live demonstrations of the LC50, the next generation of the laser and the lat- est addition to the hugely successful DIG- ILOG family.
It will be fitted to a machine on the In- Comm Training & Manufacturing Group stand (G2) and delegates will be able to wit- ness first hand how the premium laser optics, new design shutter protection sys- tem and HPC nozzle provides ultra reliable in-machine measurement data.
The East Staffordshire-based company expects this new product to generate
over £500,000 of new orders over the next two years, with the main interest coming from manufacturers supplying high value parts to the automotive, aerospace, F1 and

aerospace sectors.
“This is one of the first times anyone in the UK will have seen this laser measurement system in action and I’m sure interest is going to be huge,” explained David Mold, Managing Director of Blum-Novotest in the UK.
“By evaluating the analogue signal rather than the digital one, we can take thousands of measuring values of all cutting tool edges per second, resulting in highly dynamic
measurement of all tool parameters. In essence, this technology is 60% quicker than conventional in machine measuring”.
Blum-Novotest is one of the global leaders in production metrology, employing 534 people and turning over £77m across its 16 subsidiaries.

NDPP PRECISION EXPERIENCE SERVES AUTO AND AERO SECTORS
ND Precision Products (NDPP) is a tool- making, precision engineering, and laser welding company that strives to produce high quality tooling to industries including automotive and aerospace.
In aerospace it has worked with several connector companies who supply intercon- nection solutions for cabin systems, which have many uses, including oxygen and emergency systems, seat actuation, and cabin and seat lighting. NDPP has designed and manufactured the mould tools.
As well as connectors NDPP has helped supply companies working within aero-
space, including in the designing and man- ufacture of jigs and fixtures. One project involved coming up with a design and then producing fixtures and tooling for making carbon fibre rods out of a roll of carbon fibre.
The GTMA supplier has also worked in automotive sector for many years on proj- ects related to the development and future of autonomous vehicles.
If you think that NDPP can help you with your next aerospace or automotive project, please do not hesitate to contact Nick Squire (MD) at
