Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc, a global leader in airfreight logistics based in the US in New York, has placed a landmark firm order for 20 Airbus A350F freighters.
The order is the largest placed for the latest generation fuel-efficient A350F and makes Atlas the biggest customer of the type.

AerCap Holdings N.V. has signed a firm order with aircraft manufacturer Airbus for 23 A320neo (new engine option ) and 77 A321neo aircraft.
This transaction underscores AirCap’s strategy of investing in fuel-efficient technology to meet the long term requirements of its global airline customer base.

UK commercial aircraft orders rose sharply in February 2026, climbing 83% year-on-year in a sign of renewed confidence across the global aviation market, according to the latest figures from UK trade association ADS.
The data shows that the month delivered the strongest February orderbook since 2023, with demand bolstered in part by major industry events and a notable return of widebody aircraft orders, often seen as a bellwether for long-haul travel recovery.

Rolls-Royce has confirmed a £19.3m investment in its highly specialised Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF) in Rotherham. It follows a grant of £2m from the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA).
The total of £21.3m is funding an increase in the capability and productivity of the facility, which manufactures some of the world’s most advanced turbine blades for Rolls-Royce jet engines that power long haul aircraft.
Additional specialist machines funded by the investment will double output at the facility by 2030.

Flying taxi firm Vertical Aerospace is close to landing a $800m (£600m) fundraising deal as it gears up to launch its pioneering electric vertical take-off and landing (EVTOL) aircraft.
The Bristol-headquartered firm, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, is understood to be in advanced discussions to bring in the investment.
According to media reports, this would give it sufficient working capital to commercially launch its 150mph, four-to-six seater Valo flying taxi as soon as possible after gaining certification, which is targeted for 2028.
