GTMA, a good partner for its members

Estimated reading time 2 minutes

Alone in Q1 this year, 15 new members have joined UK-based leading trade association GTMA.

GTMA represents leading companies in precision engineering, rapid product development, toolmaking, tooling technologies, metrology and other manufacturing related products and services. The association focuses on market sector opportunities, from aerospace and automotive to medical and marine, offering members a broad range of services and benefits, it notes.

In Q1 of 2019, GTMA has announced 15 new members – from industries such as: automation, mould and tool technologies, machine tool and ancillaries equipment, cutting tools, CAD/CAM software, turnkey project engineering support and design, precision manufacturing, as well as a high-value catapult centre and university.

GTMA CEO, Julia Moore notes: “We are delighted to welcome Fanuc, Filtermist, Morson Projects, R-Winter Tooling, National Composite Catapult Centre, Plazology, Surface Generation, IBS Precision Engineering, Surtec North East, Guhring, Tebis, Solent University, Ewikon, Consort Medical and Park Sheet Metal.” The new members, according to Moore, would have had different reasons to become members. Moore however does believe the association’s digital marketing programme provides a key route to markets for companies. This includes business profiles and GTMA’s successful social media campaign to maximise every member’s media presence.

Among the numerous activities organised by GTMA is the association’s events. A Business Breakfast Seminar took place at Fanuc, Ansty Park, on 23 May. Another do, its popular Manufacturing Solutions Ireland event, running for the third consecutive year, is scheduled in Limerick for 12 June 2019. Registration is now open and can be done here www.manufacturingsolutions.ie. With over 100 exhibition stands and a visit by the British Ambassador, this event GTMA says, is indicative of its interesting network meetings for its members and industry alike.
