NEW DATE: Manufacturing Solutions UK Incorporating Make Measurement Matter -14th September 2023- RAF Cosford Museum

GTMA & AMUK will be holding a prestigious & free to attend Manufacturing Solutions UK event at RAF Museum Midlands, Cosford on 14th September, 2023, this year incorporating Make Measurement Matter.

The event has been held in various UK locations for a number of years, but this will be the first time back since the pandemic.

This year we are holding the event at the prestigious Royal Air Force Museum Midlands with a fabulous backdrop to the exhibition area, surrounded by some very iconic aircraft and the whole RAF Story.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Rolls -Royce; Dr Phil Bamforth CEng MIMechE,

Dr Phil Bamforth is the Global Lead for Manufacturing Product Verification at Rolls-Royce. Phil leads the global manufacturing measurement community at Rolls-Royce, ensuring the processes, skills and technologies are robust and competitive across the Rolls-Royce group.

Phil has a Mechanical Engineering degree and PhD from Loughborough University, specialising in machine vision and laser materials processing. During his time at Rolls-Royce he has held a variety of roles in Manufacturing Engineering and Design. Including leading metrology technology developments, working with international standards groups, introducing APQP/PPAP and Model Based Definition. Currently Phil’s main focus is ensuring measurement technology and skills are future proof to enable manufacturing measurement to add value right across the product lifecycle.

Rolls-Royce – Joseph Green

Joseph has been with Rolls-Royce for 17+ years, starting as a craft apprentice in 2005. His work has been focussed around Metrology, where he has a wide variety of skills and experience ranging form his first principles inspection to CMM/CMS Programming in multiple software languages.

Joseph’s current role is measurement team lead for Defence manufacturing Bristol where he is responsible for developing and maintaining capable measurement systems to enable the delivery of complex military components. He utilises his metrology passion & experience to meet various measurement challenges and fulfil business needs.

One of Josephs keen interests is to help define and work towards a standardised measurement strategy for Rolls-Royce Defence
