Alongside his operational management skills, which include a long track record of reducing costs and improving efficiencies across the board, Dave has gained extensive knowledge and experience in design, planning, influencing and management of large scale engineering projects in the aerospace and defence, automotive and rail, sports and industrial sectors. He also holds accreditations in Quality Standards 9000 and ISO140001. Latterly, Dave was Operations Manager at Darchem Engineering Ltd, the high temperature/thermal engineered solutions provider, where he spent 5 years working closely with customers within the global defence and aerospace sectors on complex aerostructure problems.

Dave Todd’s arrival marks the culmination of significant amounts of investment in Paragon Rapid Technologies’ engineering capabilities, including a newly built, state-of-the-art facility alongside its Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping plant at Durham Tees Valley Airport; and the recent purchase of a 2.5m gantry 5-axis CNC machine to enhance the company’s capacity and support its loyal and growing customer base.

“Dave’s track record, experience, and contacts across the industry are second to none. We have invested heavily in our engineering capability in recent months, both in terms of technology and through building a dedicated engineering facility here at Durham Tees Valley Airport, and we are delighted to have him on board. Attracting someone of Dave’s talent and experience into the business is a fantastic commendation of our strategy and ambition,” says Peter Humphrey, Technical Director at Paragon Rapid Technologies.

“His arrival heralds an exciting new era, and his knowledge and experience are crucial to our plans for developing new and ground-breaking engineering solutions for our clients. Together with Mark O’Reilly, our Engineering Production Manager, and our top tier Design Engineers, we now have an outstanding, customer-focussed engineering team in place.”
