The 4Di InSpec™ SR Surface Roughness Gauge, available from Optimax, is the first portable, precision instrument for the 3D measurement of surface roughness. Rugged and easy to use, the system accurately measures roughness right on the shop floor across a wide range of environmental conditions. The 4Di InSpec™ SR enables fast, areal roughness measurements consisting of millions of data points, all while remaining completely insensitive to vibration.
Users can directly measure standards-compliant roughness parameters on small or large components without the need for replication. Its scratch-free optical technology eliminates surface damage and enables measurement on most materials, including carbon fibre, metal, composites, plastics, cast iron, silicon, and rubber.
Designed for maximum flexibility, the 4Di InSpec™ SR can measure in any orientation to reach difficult-to-access locations, tight corners, and large surfaces. One-button operation simplifies alignment and measurement.
