Paragon AM Technologies granted prestigious HP Production Professional status for excellence in 3D printing
Estimated reading time 2 minutes
Paragon AM Technologies, the additive manufacturing (3D printing for production) division of Paragon Rapid Technologies, is delighted to be awarded Production Professional status within global tech giant HP’s prestigious Digital Manufacturing Network. Paragon provides innovative manufacturing solutions, including HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing for production services, across a range of industry sectors from aerospace and automotive to security and defence.
Paragon is one of just three UK-based companies offering both HP MJF 5200 and HP MJF 4200 platforms to achieve this status. HP states that DMN suppliers awarded with the HP Multi Jet Fusion Production Professional certification have been certified by HP to deliver best in class MJF part quality and end-to-end 3D printing service capabilities.
“We’re delighted to have our commitment to excellence recognised in this way,” states Phill Adamson, CEO of Paragon Rapid Technologies. “The HP Digital Manufacturing Network (DMN) is a prestigious programme that requires applicants to prove both process and HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) expertise in order to qualify. With a focus on an ability to produce exceptional quality parts for end-use applications, selected companies must demonstrate consistent production excellence in quality, cost, delivery and customer service.”
HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology has been specifically designed to mass-produce parts for less than other processes. The advanced sintering process enables robust, detailed production parts to be produced faster – with lead times for unfinished parts delivered in as little as 24 hours – in a range of nylon polymers and polypropylene.
” While our competitors offer PA 12 nylon,” continues Adamson, “We are currently the only UK service provider offering HP’s PA 11 Nylon to our customers. The end results are comparable to those produced with the tried and tested PA 12 nylon, with the HP PA 11 being slightly more flexible. The PA 11 is a 100% bio-based content polymer derived from sustainable castor oil. Both materials are biocompatible and have been used extensively in the medical devices, automotive and industrial products sector with resounding success.”
