A £1.7bn renewable energy project featuring a tidal lagoon in the Swansea Bay area “will absolutely be delivered”, according to Swansea Council leaders.
The Blue Eden project now appears to be fully funded by the private sector paving the way for its delivery, according to Swansea Council chief executive Martin Nicholls.
Speaking at a planning scrutiny meeting, deputy council leader Andrea Lewis added that the scheme “stacks up commercially” and will “absolutely be delivered”.
