Seco Tools appoints new president and CEO: Fredrik Vejgården

Fagersta, Sweden – As of January 1, 2019, Seco Tools welcomes Fredrik Vejgården as president and CEO. In this role, Vejgården will continue to drive and develop a successful and world leading business, driven by strong values: passion for customers, a family spirit and personal commitment.

Since 2015, Fredrik has been Vice President, Strategy and Business Development at Sandvik Machining Solutions (SMS), where he has been driving the development of the SMS strategy and building the foundation for the new digital division within SMS. Prior to that, he worked at Luvata for 10 years, where he held different executive positions responsible for business operations in UK, Americas and China. Fredrik also has a background as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company with focus on operational topics such as LEAN manufacturing and procurement.

Fredrik holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Management and Engineering from Linköping University (Sweden) and has studied international business and computer studies at Sydney University (Australia).
