Swiftool Precision Engineering Ltd award winning sub-contract manufacturing business has successfully completed a £ 9 million pound contract for one of its major Oil & Gas customers.
From receipt of purchase order, with a scope detailing full turnkey supply of a significantly innovative new product for the subsea market, all parts and assemblies have been delivered within a window of nine months.
The manufacturing and assembly, including pressure testing and customer witnessed functional verification was conducted within the companies special project cell. Working around the clock and utilising the very latest machine tool and inspection technology.
In addition to in house activities, Swiftool deployed highly skilled engineers to global locations, providing training for the end users staff.
Of course manufacturing safety critical, high integrity components and assemblies for use in extreme environments is only part of the challenge.
Creating, reviewing, compiling, scanning and releasing both paperless and hard copies of extensive documentation packages as a deliverable requires a dedicated quality team which Swiftool have in place. This same team also managed the thousands of hours of customer and third party visits required to ensure on time delivery of such a vital project.
