The Manufacturing Resource Centre provides a supply chain facility across all of the engineering sectors.
The partnership between MRC and key sector manufacturing organisations is primarily within
procurement but has since 2009, yielded supply chain projects within Aerospace, Automotive and
Medical that has enabled GTMA member company involvement.
Today, the MRC has strong links with other manufacturing associations, such as Medilink and the
Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) and is looking to the future with strategic partnerships with
organisations such as the Nuclear and Renewable Energy, Marine and Rail Industries.
Currently MRC is working with GTMA members on new product development opportunities to enhance
our portfolio of services and products to OEM and Tier 1 companies.
MRC is also setting up a demonstration unit here in the UK with GTMA members using both robots and machine tools to offer a new low volume process on incremental sheet metal forming working with aluminium, titanium and composite pre pregs.
MRC also offers a project management facility for the life of the order. Potential suppliers are available
across the entire engineering supply chain and our key sector involvement is in:
