Having been established over 70 years ago, Ringspann’s expertise mean they lead the way when it comes to the power transmission sector. They have a UK base and manufacturing plants in Germany, China, India, South Africa, and the USA.
Innovative design processes have helped RINGSPANN lead the way in the power transmission sector for over 70 years and the company has backed up success with investment in 13 subsidiaries worldwide, including manufacturing plants in Germany, China, U.S.A., India and South Africa. This gives RINGSPANN the capability of reacting to the needs and demands of customers in the most demanding of industrial sectors such as,
From our U.K. base in Bedford we supply shaft hub connections, couplings, torque limiters, freewheel clutches, caliper brakes of all types and much much more. Our staff are highly trained in the key areas of each product division to give the customer the best possible response to technical, commercial or general queries. Our vastly experienced external staff are conversant with a huge array of applications and can ensure the right product is selected and supplied every time on time. So if you have a requirement for, or a problem with a wind turbine, crane, feed roller drive, shredder, door latch system, 5 axis machine tool etc. RINGSPANN can help quickly and efficiently with a lowest total cost of ownership solution.
Relentless investment in I.T., leading products and services, continuous improvement and personnel development enable RINGSPANN to produce the most cost effective power transmission solutions on a truly global scale.
When you look further into the individual products on offer RINGSPANN’s range of caliper brakes and accessories is truly vast. Clamping forces range from 200 N to 200,000 N per caliper and each brake can be supplied with various methods of activation ranging from spring applied – pneumatic release to hydraulic applied – spring release. Different brakes suit different applications but our new range of Electro – Magnetic brakes really do offer the best option when looking for a ‘clean’ brake with the lowest running costs possible. The EV and EH range are available with spring or electro – magnetic activation and they are available in a range of supply voltages with varying degrees of protection, in fact the most robust version is currently in service on a positioner drive in a southern Chinese coal plant as a parking/holding brake which in emergencies must bring to a halt over 880 tonnes of rolling stock which is a pretty demanding task. The accompanying range of brake discs are equally as impressive ranging from 200 mm to 2000 mm in various materials, various designs and with various methods of fixing to the shaft. Shrink disc, bore and key and cone clamp designs are all part of our standard stock range and are available on short lead times worldwide.
As the market leader in Freewheel technology it is our duty to lead from the front and it is an area that development is continuously on-going. The latest products to be launched are aimed at the food and beverage industry but they can be used anywhere that an anti-corrosion specification is required.
The FBF series of stainless steel freewheels give the machine manufacturers complete confidence that there is zero possibility of contamination and with the high grades of stainless steel used in the construction of these products allied with a superb surface finish, there is zero chance of any bi-product sticking to the surface during production. Manufactured to EHEDG and 3A Standards along with Food and Drug Administration directives, this product leads its field and is the envy of our competitors.
