Tech-Ni-Plant has been established at Aston Science Park Birmingham for over 30 years. The company supplies a full range of surface treatment processes to moulders, toolmakers and in house processors which can:-

Ion Implantation
A no risk, low temperature impregnation of nitrogen which improves wear resistance and micro hardness.

Hard Chromium and Electroless  Nickel Plating
Corrosion resistant metal coatings also offering wear resistance. A uniform thickness range of 5-75 microns in nickel for protection of new tooling or adding size; and a deposit range of 5 microns to 0.4mm in chrome for protection or significant build up.

Eas-i-glide, Eas-i-dure and NiSil
Nickel based coatings with additives of PTFE or boron nitride for fantastic release properties or silicon carbide for extra wear resistance.

Titanium and Chromium Nitride
3-5 microns of high hard coatings offering metal to metal friction reduction; and Friction Guard Nano able to extend the life of parts in ceramic processing.

Diamond Like Coating
A thin hard carbon deposit black in colour also able to offer friction reduction.

Other services available include mould polishing and materials testing.
