Alicona, the successful Austrian Optical 3D metrology manufacturer, has been given a commendation and award by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (Wirtschaftskammer Österreich or WKÖ).
The award, called the “Hidden Champion Award”, is given to Austrian owned companies that have achieved these certain criteria;
- a) Has achieved the position of a market leader in their sector;
- b) has an exceptional level of innovation,
- c) Has achieved high levels of export sales
- d) Has achieved a stated level of growth and turnover
Alicona is a market leader in the area of optical metrology and optical micro CMM and provides its products predominately outside of its domestic market; the “hidden” part of the award reflects its dominance outside of the Austrian market.
The award winning products from Alicona provide non-contact optical metrology to industry and research allowing in depth and nondestructive measurement of form and finish on a wide range of components.
The Alicona brand is recognized globally and the company has opened many sales and support offices around the world.
