Bowers Group members, Bowers UK and Baty International will be demonstrating a wide range of precision measuring solutions and distributing copies of the companies’ new product catalogues on stand A50 at Interplas 2014.
Bowers’ display will include the ingenious MicroGauge 2-point bore gauging system. Designed for the accurate measurement of bores from 1.0 – 6.0 mm, the extremely compact gauge features a completely new integral digital readout. Also being demonstrated will be the company’s most accurate bore gauging system to date; Bowers Ultima. The class-leading Ultima range is able to accurately measure bore sizes from 1 – 300 mm with a choice of resolutions up to 0.0001 mm.
Reflecting the all-inclusive nature of Bowers’ expanding range, a wide selection of new Sylvac measuring instruments will be exhibited, including the NEW D300s V2 digital readout, along with the NEW D70S Multi-function Compact Touch-screen Display Unit, Digital indicators with Bluetooth connectivity and 0.0001mm resolution plus micron reading calipers. A wide range of both Sylvac and Trimos height gauges will be on display, from basic shop-floor models, up to very precise, computerised 2D variants
Further extending Bowers’ material testing range, the high-precision Diavite DH-8 surface roughness tester will be put through its paces. Despite the portable unit’s compact size and cost effective price, the powerful instrument is capable of performing countless, extremely accurate measuring routines.
Baty International will be giving an Interplas debut to the company’s new VuMaster CNC optical measuring system. Described as an innovative, inexpensive solution for fast, accurate 2D measurement, the ingenious VuMaster can be operated manually, or inspection programmes can be recorded, stored and recalled to allow speedy inspection routines to be undertaken via manual or full CNC control.
To help further improve the usability of the company’s popular profile projectors, Baty International has launched a new Touch screen Digital Readout, this will be displayed on the R400 horizontal profile projector on the stand. This user friendly readout is now available across Baty’s entire range of optical profile projectors and as a retrofit / upgrade for existing systems.
Featuring the easy to use Fusion lite, Baty’s advanced new touch screen metrology software, it is possible to create dimensioned drawings of the measured part, with flexible data reporting options in Excel compatible formats or pdf, printed or saved to the network.
Baty will also be demonstrating the new, semi-automatic variant of the company’s popular Venture Vision Measuring System. The advanced new system combines manually operated X and Y axes with a CNC Z axis and Zoom. The result is a fast, accurate arrangement that allows the operator to measure batches of parts by following simple directions on the graphically displayed ‘part-view’.
