For the second consecutive year we are delighted to return to Moylish Park, home to the impressive Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) Faculty of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology that will host Manufacturing Solutions Ireland. The enthusiastic response we have received from the engineering and technology businesses based in the UK and Ireland, that constitute the exhibitors and visitors alike, highlights the value of this quickly established key event in the industrial calendar.
With the show growing by 25 per cent, up to 100-plus exhibitors for 2018, we firmly believe that these focused events offer a special benefit and bring together companies to provide a better understanding of new technologies and markets, as well as creating opportunities to do business together – both directly or as part of a robust supply chain to industry buyers.
GTMA focus for 2018, and beyond, is export and overseas ventures. With this important showcase of UK and Irish companies working together, leading the way for both to take on opportunities in other markets, including our Automotive and Motorsport focused business-to-business event held at Le Mans 2018, in France, and a group visit to Portugal in October for the tooling industry. We know working together and exchanging ideas is important; and yields tangible results.
The technologies and services being demonstrated are at the heart of the advanced manufacturing industries drive to improve efficiency and productivity while reducing waste and environmental impact. Beyond the solutions currently available, GTMA is involved in the Special Interest Group for Additive Manufacturing and Micro Machining and Moulding, to ensure any potential business advantages are fully exploited.
High value industrial manufacturing sectors we are actively involved this year include the Rail, Automotive, Medical and Aerospace sectors, and on the latter, we are delighted to have arranged for Boeing to be a keynote speaker at Manufacturing Solutions Ireland.
