Manufacturers across the UK and Ireland are more confident about growth prospects than they were a year ago, despite continued concerns over supply chains, energy costs and geopolitical uncertainty.

New research from accountancy and advisory firm MHA found that 81% of manufacturing leaders expect growth of more than 3% over the next 12 months, up from 77% in 2025. More than a quarter (26%) expect growth above 5%, compared with 22% a year earlier.
