Bill Whittit founded the ‘MK1 Policy’ for Precision Engineers and Toolmakers specifically to meet the needs of the Precision Engineers and Toolmakers in the Midlands. The business ethics and foundations he laid down over fifty years ago remain in place today.
The Whittit Mk1 Group is now represented throughout the UK.

The Mk1 Product
Material Damage
‘All risks’ cover on all contents, i.e. Machinery and Plant, Stock, Work in Progress, Landlords Fixtures and Fittings (where you are responsible), Inspection Equipment, Cutting Tools, Discs, Tips etc. Basic sum insured equal to turnover.
Business Interruption
Following a claim under Material Damage Section, again cover is ‘all risks’. Basic sum insured equal to 120% of turnover per annum – 24 month indemnity period.
