Ad-Vance Engineering Leads Way with Environmental Accreditation

Leading tool manufacturer, Ad-Vance Engineering, has demonstrated its commitment to sustainable manufacturing and production by attaining the globally recognised environmental standard, ISO 14001:2015.

The Northern Ireland-based company, which recently marked 15 years of export success, focused its efforts on reducing energy and material consumption as well eliminating waste across its business and supply chain.

Central to the achievement was Ad-Vance’s commitment to reduce waste to landfill by processing all ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals on site before being sold to other manufacturers or collected for recycling by fully approved supply chain partners.

Thanks to close monitoring and management, Ad-Vance Engineering has full traceability of the waste reduction scheme, up to the point of disposal and beyond.   All waste oils and packaging resulting from its manufacturing processes are also consumed, reused or recycled with minimal impact on the environment.

Roger Vance, Managing Director Ad-Vance Engineering said: “We’ve invested significantly in our processes to achieve this important environmental standard.

“We’re fully committed to continually improving the way we operate so we remain at the forefront of our industry and play our part in delivering a manufacturing supply chain which is both credible and sustainable.”
