Bowers Launch Nexus Hardness Tester

Bowers Group has anounced the launch of the advanced Nexus 3200 Brinell Harrdness Tester. Designed for use within the harshest of industrial environments, the cost effective Nexus 3200 is ideal for use on flat and cylindrical work pieces such as castings and forgings. In addition to use in heavy foundries and workshops, the tester is ideal for sample or quality control testing across a range of applications within the automotive and aerospace industries.

With available application test loads from 62.5kgf/612N up to 3000kgf/29kN, Bowers’ compact new bench hardness tester is able to deliver precise Brinell results and simultaneous conversions to Rockwell, Vickers, Brinell and Leeb rebound hardness scales. The easy to use Nexus 3200 features load cell, closed loop force application operation and high quality video measuring system. By the push of a button, a Brinell Indent Optical Scanner (BIOS) generates a crisp high definition image of the Brinell indentation on the unit’s 7.5“ LCD industrial touch screen.

NEXUS 3200 IMPRESSIONS™ advanced user operating software system incorporates manual and automatic measurement for all scales, image editing, file storing, image storing, report printing and many other advanced functions.

All data can be copied or exported to MS applications such as Word, Excel, or to a report generator that is able to emails test results directly to workstations, or servers. All data can be accessed over the LAN or WLAN connections, whilst the system also generates common CSV files.
