Through collaboration with tool and gauge making association representatives from other countries, GTMA is able to pursue and develop initiative for the good of our industry. Very often, toolmakers in other countries are facing the same difficulties.
For example, the speedy transfer of information from customer to toolmaker is always regarded as a prime area for improvement – this needs a two-way agreement to cooperate, and sometimes the collective voice of associations worldwide can be the catalyst for change.
MRC
The Manufacturing Resource Centre is committed to promoting excellence in the UK engineering Supply Chain.
One of its key roles is developing opportunities for the UK engineering Buyer and Supplier to work together.
For OEM and Tier 1 companies, MRC offers a working partnership with managements that are seeking to enhance manufacturing processes and solve supply chain issues.
RESHORING UK
Reshoring UK is a unique collaboration of leading industrial engineering associations to assist manufacturers connect with trusted, accredited suppliers capable of delivering products and services that match their requirements.
This structured approach will support OEMs and Tier 1 companies who need to fill the gaps in their supply chains or to support the creation of new ones.
INTERNATIONAL EXPORT HUB
The Export Hub is a new GTMA initiative designed to increase the number of GTMA members and SME manufacturers looking to export for the first time.
The Export Hub will look to advise and guide companies through the various elements of exporting globally with information and contacts that could make the process a more simplified process.
UK TOOLING ALLIANCE
The Tooling Alliance provide a complete purchasing structure that offers peace of mind when procuring Mould and Press Tools.
Specialising in providing a single contact source for purchasing suites of tools, this facility offers a range of sector qualified, quality accredited toolmakers that work within a specific project management system to ensure Quality and Delivery at competitive costs.
MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS
Organised by the GTMA and the Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT), the Manufacturing Solutions Ireland event is a focal point for manufacturing technologies and engineering solutions.
Exhibitors from over 100 of the most advanced providers of metrology, inspection, machine tools, workholding, cutting tools, and CAD/CAM/PLM manufacturing software and ancillary products and services will be on hand to give best advice.
BRAZIL BUSINESS HUB
The Brazil Business Hub helps engineering and manufacturing sector companies to engage with business opportunities, major projects and partners in Brazil.
The Hub provides focused assistance via informative events, consultancy work and missions to potential clients and partners, both in Brazil and in the UK.
