The Cyril Johnson Memorial Cup is awarded to an individual who, through their dedication to the precision engineering Industry has made great achievements both in taking their company or organisation forward but who has also made a contribution to British Industry as a whole.
The award was created in memory of the late Cyril Johnson founder of Craftsman Tools in 1953 and led the company for more than 40 years
The award for 2014 goes to Howard Ashman from Hasco
Howard has worked for Hasco since July 1979. Regarded by his co-workers as the joker, the secret to Howard’s success in business comprises many attributes not least of which is his friendly and helpful nature, always quick to make light of a conversation with a topical joke or pun and importantly always puts his customers first and has always promoted Hasco in the best possible way at all time
