The Department for Energy Security and Net-Zero (DESNZ) is seeking expert guidance on how to support workers and maximise economic benefits as North Sea oil and gas production declines, and the region plays host to more offshore renewables and carbon capture and storage.

Ed Miliband’s Department has opened consultations on its proposed package of regulation and legislation to support “a prosperous and managed” energy transition in the North Sea. Responses will be accepted until 30 April.
