Optimax, has announced the expanded availability of Starrett Multi-Sensor CNC Vision Systems across the UK and Europe.

As engineering requirements create increasingly complex geometries and tighter tolerances, these advanced systems offer a solution for high-accuracy measurement and inspection.
Manufactured products, ranging from intricate medical implants to safety critical aerospace components, all require detailed and precise inspection, the Starrett AVR (Automatic) and AVX series, distributed and supported by Optimax, address these challenges. This “multi-sensor” approach offering high-resolution video inspection with tactile touch-probe technology allows for the measurement of 3D features, such as cylinders and spheres, alongside 2D optical profiles in a single, automated routine.
Solving Complexity with Automation
Running under the intuitive MetLogix™ M3 software, users can directly import CAD files for real-time “Part-to-CAD” verification and fully automated XYZ stage motion for rapid repetitive batch testing. Sub-micron precision is ensured using Granite Bases for thermal stability and Heidenhain glass scales for exceptional resolution.
“At Optimax, we don’t just supply equipment; we provide solution-based metrology,” says the Optimax technical team. “By combining Starrett’s 140-year legacy of precision with our UKAS-accredited calibration and application support, we help manufacturers eliminate operator subjectivity and achieve 100% inspection confidence.”
