British Steel has opened a £10m rail stocking facility in Scunthorpe, the largest of its kind in the country. The new hub, at British Steel’s HQ, is where the vast majority of rail laid in the UK is made.
The investment is part of British Steel’s strategy to support the supply of rails to Network Rail, ensuring there is stock ready, as and when required, for its supply chain.
