Hexagon on show at Offshore Europe

A range of portable shop floor measurement systems, including a new integrated laser scanner, will be on show at Hexagon Metrology’s stand (3A141) at Offshore Europe from September 8-11.

The RS3, designed for use with the ROMER Absolute portable arm range, speeds up inspection and offers more detailed 3D point clouds. Available with all new ROMER Absolute Arm SI portable measurement systems or as an upgrade for existing customers, the RS3 doubles the scan rate of the previous RS2 integrated scanner.

Combining non-contact scanning and tactile probing, the ROMER Absolute arm with integrated scanner is a multi-purpose portable measurement system suitable for point cloud inspection, product benchmarking, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping, virtual assembly and CNC milling applications.

Hexagon Metrology’s new Leica Absolute AT960 laser tracker with T-Probe will be demonstrating its high-speed dynamics and 6 DoF capabilities. This walk-around CMM, which has a range of up to 120m and accuracy from 0.015mm, fits in a single flight case and has been produced in response to customer demand for a genuinely portable laser tracker.

In addition, the measurement solutions provider will be exhibiting its new ROMER Compact portable arm, which is designed for measuring small to medium parts for applications such as on-machine verification, machined part inspection, fixture positioning, CAD-to-part  comparison and in-process quality checks.
