Benching and Polishing is a part of the finishing process to smooth a workpiece surface. The polishing process is conducted by using an abrasive attached to a work wheel that results in the creation of a smoother, brighter finish on the workpiece.
Polishing has many uses and can be used as a method of improving the looks of an item, create a reflective surface, remove oxidation, prevent corrosion or contamination of instruments.
