Tooling is dependent on the manufacturing, but essentially refers to how something is made. Working or manufacturing aids such as cutting tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, jigs, moulds and patterns are limited in use to a specific production line or the performance of a specific contract or job. What must be remembered, is that tooling does not include machinery.
