Spectrum Metrology is pleased to introduce the new workshop VideoCAD Rapid system, a high definition 2D measurement device which offers unsurpassed speed: the acquisition and analysis of measured data takes only a few milliseconds. Its unique combination of touch-screen software and fixture free workstage allows detailed measurements at the touch of a button. This approachable design means that 100% throughput inspection is now a reality.
Designed by German based optical specialists Dr Heinrich Schneider Messtechnik , the VideoCAD Rapid incorporates 4 step motorized zoom lens to allow the system to adapt to a range of minute component features and has four different fields of view for spot-on measurement.
A combination of transmitted and incident light ensures that all visible contours can be measured, even on parts composed of more than one type of material. The ultra-high resolution optics on the VideoCAD ensures distortion-free measurement and is especially suited to profiles made of plastic, aluminium, wood, rubber and metal as well as stamped parts of any kind.
The VideoCAD also incorporates new, intuitive software inspired by state-of-the-art smartphone and tablet applications. This touch-screen interface allows extremely easy dimensioning of measured features as well as meticulous recording and reporting. Measurement processes are then automatically remembered for all repeat measurement. A DXF module allows measurements to be compared with associated drawings, including tolerance bands, go/no go identification and DXF data export.
Available as a stand-alone measurement station or integrated into the production process, its robust design with no moving parts makes it ideal for shopfloor use.
