An entry-level 3D coordinate measuring machine is now available as part of a special promotion aimed at small and medium sized businesses.
Hexagon Metrology UK says its DEA Pioneer 5.6.4 model provides all the features necessary for performing a wide range of inspection tasks.
The machine incorporates Hexagon’s patented Tricision lightweight bridge, which has a wider bearing separation and lower centre of gravity than a conventional bridge.
The Pioneer’s one-piece granite worktable not only comprises a precision-machined dovetail for better accuracy and repeatability, but also M10 threaded inserts for part fastening.
Hexagon’s promotion, which runs until the end of December, offers a full CNC system starting from £29,995. As well as the CMM, the deal includes a motorized Tesastar probe, PC-DMIS Pro software, styli kit, PC, monitor and table plus a year’s warranty, delivery and installation.
“This Pioneer model uses technology from other systems in the DEA range, meaning it aims high above entry level standards,” commented sales and marketing director Brett Green.
