Potential business worth more than £1m was achieved by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence during its attendance at MENE, the Manufacturing & Engineering North East show.
Aerospace and automotive companies led the way with the highest number of enquiries, which revealed huge interest in portable measurement solutions, explained Steve Shickell, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence UK regional sales manager.
Visitors were not only impressed with the AICON smartSCAN, a compact, mobile 3D scanner, but also the ROMER Absolute 77 Series portable measuring arm equipped with HP-L-20.8 scanner, he added.
“The quality of the enquiries was very good and appears to show that companies, particularly those involved in the aerospace and automotive sectors, are very keen to invest in innovative products that help them improve productivity,” said Steve.
Hexagon also reported strong interest in other equipment including the Leica AT960 portable laser tracker with T-Probe and LAS scanner. Its next major event will be at the Advanced Engineering show, Birmingham, from November 2-3 (stand H60).
