Founded in 2006, MTD Plastics Ltd is a family‑owned manufacturer specialising in plastic injection moulding and precision toolmaking. From our facility in Lincolnshire, we design, engineer, and produce high‑quality moulded components for sectors including automotive, defence, construction, medical, and pyrotechnics.​

Our in‑house toolroom combines craftsmanship with advanced technology — CNC machining, EDM spark erosion, and precision inspection — ensuring every mould and component meets exacting standards. SERVICES

Fully Equipped Tool Room 

Our in‑house tool room supports full tool manufacture, repair, and modification. Equipped with modern machinery and experienced toolmakers, we ensure every mould is built and maintained to the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
 

CNC Turning & Milling

We provide precision CNC turning and milling for both simple and complex components.

• High‑volume production
• Low‑batch and prototype machining
• Tight tolerances and consistent repeatability Suitable for metals, engineering plastics, and specialist materials.
   

Surface & Cylindrical Grinding 

Our grinding department delivers high‑accuracy finishing:

• Surface grinding for flat, precision faces
• Cylindrical grinding for shafts, cores, and inserts All work is completed to customer‑defined tolerances.
   

CMM Measuring & Inspection 

Quality assurance is central to our operation. Our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) provides detailed dimensional inspection, ensuring every part meets customer specifications. Full documentation and traceability available on request.
 

3D CAD Design 

We offer complete 3D CAD design services for tooling, components, and assemblies. Our design team supports:

• Concept development
• Tool design
• Production drawings
• Optimisation for manufacturability and performance
   

Machined Parts — High & Low Batch 

We supply precision‑machined components in both high‑volume and low‑batch quantities. Materials include aluminium, steels, stainless steels, and engineering plastics. All parts are produced under strict process control for accuracy and consistency.
 

Plastic Injection Moulding 

Our moulding facility operates machines ranging from 12‑ton to 200‑ton clamp capacity, enabling production of small technical components through to larger housings. We offer:

• High‑volume production
• Low‑batch moulding
• In‑house tool maintenance
• Full inspection to customer requirements
   

Inspection to Customer Requirements 

Every part and mould is inspected to meet customer‑specific standards. We provide:

• Dimensional reports
• First‑off approvals
• Batch inspection
